ABOUT THE CENTRE
Peter was a member of staff at Colne Valley High School until his tragic death whilst climbing the Matterhorn in 1973.
The Cottage is dedicated to the memory of his courage, leader ship and spirit of adventure, and in appreciation of the fellowship Peter shared with pupils and colleagues and his many friends both in and out of school.
It had been managed by a group of trustees attached to Colne Valley High School but is now completely independant of the school and run by anew group of trustees who are committed to continuing with the legacy originally intended. The aim is to make it available for use by groups of young people and adults in and adjacent to the Colne Valley and surrounding area.
